The PTC will be embarking on a National Recruitment Campaign in the Autumn of 2021 to encourage all those Serving Officers, Retired Officers, PCSO's, Detention & Custody Officers, and Special Constables who do not currently donate to the PTC to sign-up and become eligible for our free first class services.
The Campaign will be accompanied by an Amnesty from our usual rules for signing up. Normally, after signing-up, someone would have to contribute to the charity for 12 months before being eligible to apply for treatment, but our Amnesty will allow those signing up during the period of the recruitment campaign to apply for treatment straight away if they so wished. This would allow anyone within the eligible groups mentioned above, not currently donating to the charity, with an existing condition to sign-up and apply immediately to attend either of our centres for treatment, subject to clinical approval and current waiting times.
The Recruitment Campaign will run for two months in the Autumn of this year and the Amnesty will only be available during those months. Throughout the Campaign period we will be out and about visiting stations to promote the facilities and services offered by The Police Treatment Centres.
Please keep an eye open for further information over the coming months, and if any of your colleagues are not already donating to the PTC then please make them aware of the upcoming campaign and encourage them to consider signing up.
**please note that this amnesty is NOT yet live or available. Please keep an eye out for further information and confirmed dates. If you start donating to the charity before the confirmed amnesty date, you will not qualify for the 12 month amnesty period**
