As more and more police officers approach us for help, and as injury rates rise, the pressure on the Treatment Centres to provide treatment continues to mount.
Officers may be spending months off work unnecessarily after injury or illness. We can help return them to better health enabling them to get back to front line duties more quickly.
In order for us to meet the needs of our officers we do require up to date facilities, which are both functioning and meeting the needs of our patients. From time to time this will incur additional costs as we upgrade areas or extend depending on patient’s needs.
From 2008 to 2012 we have extended, refurbished and improved St Andrews in a £4 million capital programme. All of this money was generated through fundraising. Most recently we have introduced 2 bariatric rooms at our centre in Harrogate to cater for the larger patient; this includes wider room fittings and furniture specially equipped for these patients.
Demand on the services at Castlebrae is continuing to increase with great pressure on the Centre’s treatment and patient facilities. As such a fundraising project is underway to try and raise funds to complete this work. To read more about this project and find out how you could help and support please click here.
