Here at the Police Treatment Centres, we are proud to boast a team who, excel both professionally each and everyday in the work undertaken to help serving and retired Officers but equally in the interests and hobbies that make up a healthy work-life balance.
This is no better illustrated than in the fantastic achievements over the past few years of two of our very own Personal Trainers, Juliet Finlay and Tom Little, who have this year reached new heights in the world of Martial Arts grading and competition.
Tom has had yet another successful year, competing up and down the country at both club and international level events. This year Tom's achievements include:
- January - Silver medal in Lithuania
- February - Silver medal in the Yorkshire Open
- June - Gold in the Cumbrian Open
- August - Bronze in the JKS World Cup in Dublin
- November - Gold in the JKS National Champs
- December - Gold in the Northern Ireland Fight Night in Port Rush
Juliet also had a great year, the highlight coming when she was given the honour of travelling with a group to represent England JKS for the annual International Seminar. This culminated in forty-five countries attending a three day intense technical Martial Arts course. Juliet then completed the year in style by grading fifth Dan black belt in front of some of the most senior Karateka in the World.
We at the Police Treatment Centres would like to offer both Juliet and Tom a massive congratulations on their achievements so far and wish them the very best of luck in their future Martial Arts careers.
