When attending the Police Treatment Centres on the Psychological Wellbeing Programme you can expect to take part classes and workshops, such as:
"The Health and Wellbeing Programme has helped my personal situation greatly. I have had the opportunity to try treatments that would not have considered, yet I found them extremely helpful."
As well as the pre-determined classes as part of the Psychological Wellbeing Programme, patients are welcome to make use of the other facilities.
Each Treatment Centre has excellent resources within its gymnasium with top of the range machines and exercise equipment. Both gyms have recently been refurbished with brand new equipment including state of the art Alter-G treadmills and an indoor cycling studio at both centres.
Officers will be offered an induction session to familiarise themselves with the gym equipment available if wanted.
Both centres have swimming and hydrotherapy pools which can be used to assist rehabilitation programmes or in a leisure capacity.
Mountain bikes are also available from each of our two Treatment Centres for outdoor exercise.
By making a monthly donation, the PTC can support YOU during difficult times. Your donation gives you access to free, expert, police-specific treatment, at one of our 2 centres, regardless of whether your injury occurred on or off duty.
If you are a serving or retired police officer and have suffered an injury or illness, our experienced and fully qualified staff may be able to assist you.
We are a registered charity funded almost entirely by donations from serving officers and members of the public. We need your support.
