On Friday 2nd November 2018 St Andrews hosted our second ever ‘Ambassador Event’.
Our Ambassadors are serving and retired officers who volunteer a small amount of their time to help promote the work of the PTC and also St. George’s Police Children Trust. This might only involve acting as a point of contact for basic information, or distributing leaflets in their station or force area, or it may involve attending a new recruits training session along with a member of our Donor Recruitment and Charity Engagement team to address the probationers.
The event had good representation from our constituent forces of both experienced long serving ambassadors and new ambassadors. The event served primarily as a thank you to those who have given their time to support the values of SGPCT and PTC but also allowed us to update them with new information.
Our ambassadors had the chance to catch up with one another and exchange experiences but were also provided with information on some recent changes to the charities, some good news stories and some up to date force profiles for 2018. This is vital when they are promoting the work of SGPCT and PTC within their forces.
We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of our ambassadors for their continued support and we will be in touch next year with even more ways that you can help!
