The Police Treatment Centres are delighted to announce that we have secured five free charity places for this years Manchester Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 14 October!
Patrick
Cairns the PTC CEO said “
I am sure that the Manchester Arena Bombing on 22 May 2017 is still fresh in
the minds of many; as is so often the case in tragedies of this nature, there
were many tales of the heroism and commitment of police officers and staff.
Many emergency services were involved in the immediate aftermath of the bomb
attack and bravely went into the Arena to treat casualties before the scene had
been cleared and made safe.
The
PTC have treated a number of police patients who were affected by the bombing
over the last 12 months on both our Physiotherapy and Psychological Wellbeing
Programme, and we expect to do so for many years hence.
The PTC wanted to
show its support for the brave service men and women involved in the attack and
have secured five free charity places at the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 14
October."
The five free places to run in aid of The Police Treatment Centres will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to find out more, or take up one of these place to raise money for the PTC, and help us to continue helping the Police Family, please get in touch with Zoe Ponton, Donor Engagement Officer at fundraising@thepolicetreatmentcentres.org.
