Patrick Cairns the CEO of the PTC called on the Duke of York, Patron of the Police Treatment Centres, at Buckingham Palace earlier this week to update the Duke on the Charity's recent activity.
His Royal Highness was particularly interested in the transformational work that we are doing on our Psychological Wellbeing Programme (PWP) at the moment, and indeed the number of police patients that we are now treating each year both on this and more widely for other conditions.
The treatment that we provide through the PWP is close to the Duke’s heart and he thanked us for our work, and was particularly keen that Patrick pass on his best wishes and thanks to all our police officers for the incredible work that they do each day, in keeping our country and indeed all of us safe.
His Royal Highness last visited St Andrews in 2013 to open the Duke of York Wing after a £3m refurbishment.
