The Police
Treatment Centres have this week received a very generous donation of £20,000 jointly
from West Yorkshire Police and the county's Police & Crime Commissioner, both long-term supporters of the Charity.
In making
the donation, Mark Burns-Williamson, Police & Crime Commissioner and John
Robins, Temporary Chief Constable and PTC & SGPCT Trustee, paid tribute to
the ongoing excellent services provided by the PTCs to the increasing numbers
of West Yorkshire officers who need our support. Last year, almost 300 West
Yorkshire Officers attended our two centres for Police-specific and intensive
treatment.
Mark and
John visited St Andrews to present the cheque to CEO Patrick Cairns & Head
of Clinical Services Mark Oxley, pictured.
This
donation will allow us to continue to offer the very best care, not only to the
many West Yorkshire officers who attend the PTCs, but all our Police patients
and we are most grateful for this significant level of support.
